Welcome to the Coal Town Commissary our Museum Gift Shop!

 

The Museum offers regional gifts, books and souvenirs. Select from contemporary and historic art and videos. Also featured are hand-crafted gifts and jewelry, custom T-shirts and hats, and an assortment of Kentucky Coal figurines.

In addition, choose from videos produced by Appalshop, Pigeon Pie Films, and SKCTC Appalachian Archive. Titles include: Lynch: A Coal Legacy and Coal, Steel, Machines and Men: The Benham Story, and Cooking with Lard.

Audio Tapes include artists such as Harlan County s very own storyteller Pam Holcomb and gospel singer Dorothy Fountain. Prints and Framed art include the work by artists Barbara Willingham, Thelma Crawford, and Brett Johnson.

The gift shop also carries a variety of well-known Appalachian writers such as John Fox Jr, Jesse Stewart, Janice Holt Giles and Kentucky's Poet Laureate George Ella Lyons, in addition to a variety of local writers which include James G. Goode, Thelma R. Crawford and Lynch's own Al Feher.

Proceeds from Gift Shop purchases support the Museum's education program.
