The Kentucky Coal Museum has tons of old tools, items and artifacts on display that were used by coal miners right here in Eastern Kentucky. Many of the exhibits in the museum are modeled after real places like the company store, the blacksmith's shop and the horse barn. The museum also pays respect to Eastern Kentucky s very own celebrity, country music singer Loretta Lynn. In the basement of the Museum is a mock mine that you can navigate yourself, but be sure to watch your head!
